This season hasn't been kind to the Dunedin Falcons, who are still winless after their 17th contest. They took a 48-32 bruising from Palm Harbor University on Thursday. Dunedin lost against Palm Harbor University in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 67-21 score last time.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keegan Paolillo, who scored seven points along with 15 rebounds and five blocks. That's the first time this season that Paolillo pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Johnson, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Even though they lost, Dunedin were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Dunedin dropped their record down to 0-17 with that loss, which was their 14th straight on the road. As for Palm Harbor University, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13.
Dunedin won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fivay at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Fivay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Thursday. As for Palm Harbor University, they will head out on the road to take on Clearwater at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
