The ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars will take on the Stark County Rebels at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. ROWVA/Williamsfield will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
ROWVA/Williamsfield came out on top against Peoria Christian on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fifth inning. The Cougars put the hurt on the Chargers with a sharp 13-3 win. Considering the Cougars have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Drake DeJaynes made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. DeJaynes was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Talan Hull was incredible, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Preston Schroeder was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
ROWVA/Williamsfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peoria Christian only posted a batting average of .250.
Meanwhile, Stark County lost 18-2 to Brimfield on Wednesday.
Stark County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Daum, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.
ROWVA/Williamsfield pushed their record up to 15-12 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Stark County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.
