Village Tech's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Thomas, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Andrew May, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
A Plus Academy's defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.3 points per game. As for Village Tech, their win bumped their record up to 10-17.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A Plus Academy will take on the EAGLES at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Village Tech, they will head out on the road to challenge the Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
