It's playoff time, and Needles had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 66-59 victory over the GV Christian Guardians on Friday. The win was just business as usual for the Mustangs, who after 29 games remain undefeated this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Needles to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luca Walema, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. Walema is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 60% in the last four games he's played. Darrell Russell was another key player, going 6-for-11 on his way to 13 points in addition to eight boards and five assists.

Several Guardians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cade Johnson, who posted ten points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Wake Rolwing, who had 18 points.

Needles' victory bumped their record up to 29-0. As for GV Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-17.

Needles didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 88-41 win against Lincoln County on the 15th. GV Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
