They really took it to Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning for the full four quarters, racking up a 106-31 win at home. Encina Prep has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.
Sergio De La Cruz continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 7-for-11 from deep and almost dropping a double-double on 33 points and nine assists. It was the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Grace, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 3 assists.
Encina Prep is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.
Encina Prep will take on Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Encina Prep's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 21 games. Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
