It was a good run, but the Panther Valley Panthers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Blue Mountain. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Panther Valley in their matchups with Blue Mountain: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Panther Valley still got an impressive performance from Chase Weaver, who scored 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Stephen Hood, who scored 11 points.
Panther Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Blue Mountain, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Panther Valley will take on North Schuylkill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Schuylkill has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 207 points over their last three matches. As for Blue Mountain, they will head out on the road to challenge Jim Thorpe at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
