The Houston County Bears had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 42-32 victory over North Atlanta on Friday. 42 seems to be a good number for Houston County as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Houston County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Antwann Hill jr, who threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.2 yards per attempt. The team also got some help courtesy of Ricky Johnson, who picked up 128 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Houston County has yet to lose a matchup on the road this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.5 points per game. As for North Atlanta, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.
Houston County will take on Woodward Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodward Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games. North Atlanta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
