Baseball Recap: Wilson Has No Trouble Against Muhlenberg

Wilson owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They put the hurt on the Muhlenberg Muhls with a sharp 6-0 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kaden Ballas looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Alex Ernesto was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Jack Gabel was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Wilson hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Muhlenberg struck out 11 times.

Wilson is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Muhlenberg, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-8.

Wilson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Muhlenberg, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cedar Cliff at 4:00 p.m. on the 13th.
