The West Valley Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 81-38 loss at the hands of Foothill. West Valley has not had much luck with Foothill recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chase Kalnins, who scored 10 points along with 5 steals. Kalnins scored a full 26.3% of West Valley's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Zack Boemeke, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
It was another big night for Tyler Zanhiser, who scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals for Foothill. The team also got some help courtesy of Van Warren, who scored 13 points.
West Valley has fallen quite a ways from their 20-10 record last season and are now at 1-3. As for Foothill, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
West Valley will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Colusa at 7:00 p.m. on December 4th. As for Foothill, they will be playing at home against Orland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Orland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
