Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only St. Mary's Prep walked away with it. They beat the Portage Central Mustangs on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 42-7. Considering the Eaglets have won eight contests by more than 20 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Jabin Gonzales had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 204 yards and four touchdowns. Those four passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

St. Mary's Prep is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Portage Central, their loss dropped their record down to 12-1.

Coming up, St. Mary's Prep will square off against Dexter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eaglets will need to watch out since the Dreadnaughts have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Portage Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
