Brookfield has gone 7-1 against Bethel recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bobcats will challenge the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Brookfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
Brookfield will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Saturday, then bounced right back against Immaculate on Wednesday. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bobcats have posted against the Mustangs since April 29, 2019.
Sydney Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chloe Fitzgerald, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Emma Ferguson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Brookfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Immaculate only posted an OBP of .143.
Meanwhile, Bethel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Bunnell, falling 13-1. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 30, 2021, but that streak is no more.
Brookfield's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bethel, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
Everything went Brookfield's way against Bethel in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Brookfield made off with a 12-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
