Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Frankford couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Central Lancers by a score of 7-6 on Monday. The Pioneers' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Frankford's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Central, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Frankford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central, they will take on Franklin Towne at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Lancers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
