On Friday, The San Tan Charter Roadrunners got themselves on the board against the NFL Yet Academy Eagles, but the NFL Yet Academy Eagles never followed suit. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 73-0 win over the Eagles. The result was nothing new for San Tan Charter, who have now won four games by 22 points or more so far this season.
Zayden Neill was his usual excellent self, throwing for 124 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Benny Sharpe, who rushed for 100 yards.
San Tan Charter's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.2 points per game. As for NFL Yet Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
San Tan Charter will head out on the road to face off against Arete Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for NFL Yet Academy, they will be playing at home against Sequoia Pathway Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sequoia Pathway Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than eight points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
