Banks County was led to victory by Antonio Gonzalez and Luke Dale. Gonzalez almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards, while Dale went 7 of 15 en route to 18 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Gonzalez a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Dayden Rogers, who posted nine points and six rebounds.
Elbert County's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Banks County, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
Elbert County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 77-62 defeat against Warren County on the 18th. As for Banks County, they will welcome Oglethorpe County at 8:30 p.m. on January 24th.
