The Llano Yellowjackets came tearing into Friday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 68-37 win over Comfort. With Llano ahead 43-10 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Weston Baker was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Alex Kachura, who scored 12 points.
Llano pushed their record up to 21-6 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Comfort, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-10.
Llano will be playing in front of their home fans against Brady at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brady will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1104th, while Llano is ranked 428th). As for Comfort, they will head out on the road to challenge Blanco at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
