Cabot faced Bauxite in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Miners with a sharp 14-8 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Cabot is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Bauxite, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-9.
