Maine South and Hersey squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Maine South had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 2-1. The Hawks' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Leo Trespeces-Winck paced Maine South's offense, picking up 17 kills. Trespeces-Winck got some help from Gabriel Redzic and his 31 assists.

Maine South's defeat dropped their record down to 27-12. As for Hersey, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 23-16 record this season.
