After flying high against the Ravenna Bluejays last Tuesday, the St. Paul Wildcats came back down to earth. St. Paul suffered a tough 36-13 loss at the hands of Holdrege on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. Paul has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why St. Paul lost, one person who can't be blamed is Gracie Kelley. Despite the final result, she scored eight points along with 12 rebounds. Kelley hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
St. Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Holdrege, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
St. Paul is on the road again on Monday and plays Aurora at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th. Hopefully St. Paul focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday. Holdrege does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
