Spencerville Adventist Academy waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Washington Christian Academy by a score of 42-35.
CJ Jenkins was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 15 points. Ryan Reinhardt was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Don Bosco Cristo Rey beat Yeshiva 46-42 last Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Don Bosco Cristo Rey.
It was another big night for Yandell Fabian, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Epps, who scored nine points.
Spencerville Adventist Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Don Bosco Cristo Rey, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5.
Keep an eye on the arc in Wednesday's contest: Spencerville Adventist Academy have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 4.6 threes per game. It's a different story for Don Bosco Cristo Rey, though, as they've been averaging only 2.7 threes per game. Given Spencerville Adventist Academy's sizeable advantage in that area, Don Bosco Cristo Rey will need to find a way to close that gap.
