It's playoff time, and Jonathan Alder had no trouble coming through when it counted. They enjoyed a cozy 46-29 victory over the Heath Bulldogs on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Pioneers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Heath's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JJ Holloway, who went 6-for-11 en route to 17 points. Holloway continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Gibson, who posted six points and five boards.
Jonathan Alder's win bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Heath, their loss dropped their record down to 19-6.
Looking ahead, Jonathan Alder will square off against Van Wert at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Heath does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
