The Tri-Valley Bears were the 16-14 winner over the Ellenville Blue Devils when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Tri-Valley was beaten by Ellenville 46-6 on Friday. Tri-Valley's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Jacob Wright continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ellenville, rushing for 265 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.7 yards per carry. Wright is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Dylan Nero was in the mix as well, providing Ellenville with two touchdowns.
Tri-Valley has fallen quite a ways from their 8-3 record last season and are now at 3-5. As for Ellenville, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-Valley will challenge Fallsburg at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (Fallsburg is ranked 13th, while Tri-Valley is ranked 28th). As for Ellenville, they will head out on the road to face off against Rondout Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
