In what's become a running theme this season, the Sand Rock Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They blew past Sylvania 82-54 at home. Winning may never get old, but Sand Rock sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Katelyn St.clair was her usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more points the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Henderson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds.
Sand Rock has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. As for Sylvania, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-18.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sand Rock will square off against the Eagles at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hokes Bluff is on a five-game streak of home wins, the Wildcats a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Sylvania, they will head out on the road to face off against the Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Jackson is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
