The Hernando Leopards have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 30 points or more this season. They blew past Pasco 64-17 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Hernando has managed all season.
Hernando got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kayla Holloman out in front who scored 18 points. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Holloman has scored at least 25% of Hernando's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aislin Ruppe, who scored 14 points.
Hernando's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Pasco, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Hernando will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Nature Coast Tech at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2024. Pasco won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Oasis Christian at 6:30 p.m. on December 21st. Oasis Christian is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
