A Season-Best Performance from Miles Omalley Leads Maranatha over Linfield Christian
On Friday, Maranatha had to settle for second even though Miles Omalley put up the best numbers he has all season. Omalley rushed for 251 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 44 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.
If the past is any indication, Omalley could be in store for another big game when he takes on Western Christian on Friday. Omalley rushed for 235 yards and five touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also caught a touchdown the last time he and the Fighting Lancers duked it out back in September of 2023.

Isaiah Ramirez posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he posted at least 105 rushing yards in the third games prior. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble, making seven total tackles (0.5 for loss), and defending a pass.
