Bishop O'Connell has gone a perfect 10-0 against The Academy of the Holy Cross recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bishop O'Connell Knights will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans at 4:15 p.m. Bishop O'Connell will be strutting in after a win while The Academy of the Holy Cross will be coming in after a loss.

Bishop O'Connell is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Elizabeth Seton. Bishop O'Connell was the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over Elizabeth Seton on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won 24 matches in a row dating back to last season.

Bri Lencz was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Lencz was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on MJ Melvin, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted two triples, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Abby Bond was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3.

Bishop O'Connell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elizabeth Seton only managed six hits.

Meanwhile, The Academy of the Holy Cross fell victim to Our Lady of Good Counsel and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 16-0 to the Falcons. The Tartans haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Bishop O'Connell took their win against The Academy of the Holy Cross when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 16-0. Does Bishop O'Connell have another victory up their sleeve, or will The Academy of the Holy Cross turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
