If Taravella was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Coral Glades last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Taravella lost 16-6 to the ABF Academy Homestead Bandits on Monday. The Trojans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Tyler Morgan and Sebastian Mayfield stepped up to the plate in a big way. Morgan scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Mayfield went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of JC Martinez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Even though they lost, Taravella was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Taravella's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for ABF Academy Homestead, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-10 record this season.

Taravella didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against Archbishop McCarthy on the 25th. As for ABF Academy Homestead, they have also already played their next match, a 4-1 loss against St. John Paul II Academy on the 25th.
