In what's become a running theme this season, the Boyd Christian Broncos gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 66-22 win over Riverside Christian Academy at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-11.
Boyd Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Paige Sweeten led the charge by scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. It was the first time this season that Sweeten scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Krista Chisam, who scored 11 points along with seven steals.
Boyd Christian's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-12. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 39 points. As for Riverside Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Boyd Christian will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Whitwell is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Riverside Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
