It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Crest Chargers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They slipped by West Charlotte 30-29. Crest's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ny?tavious Huskey, who threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Aj Adams, who picked up 116 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Crest pushed their record up to 13-0 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 Stuart W. Cramer and 2-9 Parkwood (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 44.2% over those games). As for West Charlotte, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Crest will stay at home for another week and welcome Dudley at 7:30 p.m. on November 24th. Dudley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 704 points over their last 13 matches. West Charlotte does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
