Volleyball Recap: South Iredell's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

South Iredell won the last time they faced West Rowan and things went their way on Monday too. The Vikings came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 3-1. The victory was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

South Iredell had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-22, 25-14, 25-20.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maddie Sides, who had 14 digs, 12 kills, and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Lydia Wilson, who had 14 digs, 12 kills, and one block.

South Iredell's win bumped their record up to 3-4.

South Iredell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Weddington on the 21st. As for West Rowan, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Ashe County on the 20th.
