The Southview Christian Conquerors can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They secured a 60-56 W over Scotland Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Dakota Farthing continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 33 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Southview Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Brady Andreas, who scored 13 points.
Despite the loss, Scotland Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Frankie McIntyre scored 20 points. McIntyre is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Cartrette, who scored 14 points.
Southview Christian's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Scotland Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southview Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Rockwell Christian School at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Rockwell Christian School knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Southview Christian likes a good challenge. As for Scotland Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Calvary Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th.
