After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Christ Prep Academy finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They came up short against the Shawnee Mission West Vikings, falling 8-1. The Patriots' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Christ Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Shawnee Mission West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8-1.

Coming up, Christ Prep Academy will head out to challenge Faith Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 3.5, the Knights 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Shawnee Mission West, they will welcome Olathe North on Monday.
