It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Sequoyah Chiefs had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 33-9 margin over Alpharetta. Winning may never get old, but Sequoyah sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Alpharetta's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Barbour, who picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Sequoyah's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Alpharetta, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Sequoyah will square off against Douglas County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Douglas County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Alpharetta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
