Softball Recap: Keene Wins Going Away Against Everman

Keene made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Everman, but still couldn't quite topple them. The Keene Chargers blew past the Everman Bulldogs 11-2 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Chargers have posted since March 2, 2024.

Sadie Ramirez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Ramirez was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Graciela Fuentes and Christa Debusk did most of the damage at the plate: Fuentes scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances, while Debusk scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Maya John, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Keene now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Everman, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Keene will be taking part in a tournament against Benbrook at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up.
