Westland's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Westland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Kershaw, who scored 23 points along with five steals. Kershaw is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Phoenix Funderburke, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine assists.
Westland's win ended a 16-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-14. As for Logan, they dropped their record down to 2-17 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road.
Westland will be playing in front of their home fans against Westerville Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Westerville Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Logan, they will head out on the road to challenge Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Logan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 728th, while Jackson is ranked 265th).
