Saint James extended their postseason success on Monday against Alabama Christian Academy. They blew past the Eagles 10-0. Considering the Trojans have won 21 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
The result came thanks to Emily Needham's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Tatiana Shuford was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Stanford, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.
Saint James always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alabama Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .222.
