Columbus has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Girard Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbus will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Trojans are ranked 86th).
Last Friday, Columbus was beaten by the Panthers 58-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Columbus has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Girard got the win against the Bulldogs on Friday by a conclusive 61-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Girard.
Columbus dropped their record down to 4-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Girard, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.
Columbus suffered a grim 58-32 defeat to the Trojans in their previous meeting back in January. Can Columbus avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
