Dante Aiken of Bishop Ford ran for the longest rushing play in Catholic AA-A this season against Xavier last week. Aiken's team fell to the Knights as he sprinted for 170 yards on the play and finished with 130 in all.
St. Francis Prep extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Cardinal Spellman, 35-8. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
6-foot-1 quarterback BILLY TRIGLIANOS of St. Peter's is the league leader in passing yards this season with 691. He has also thrown six touchdowns. On the ground, Bishop Ford's Aiken has rushed for 650 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Rodney Gonzales. The Bishop Ford star has 14 catches for 352 yards.
A big matchup in Catholic AA-A this week will be when Cardinal Hayes takes on St. John the Baptist. At the moment, the Cardinals are in fourth, while the Cougars are in first.
Cardinal Hayes moved up to 249 from 373 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. CJ O'Neil's team was able to make the jump by defeating the Eagles 27-26.
