The Chapin Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 72-51 defeat at the hands of Lexington. Chapin has struggled against Lexington recently, as their match on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Chapin still got an impressive performance from Cayman Collins, who scored 21 points. Jaydon Bradford was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.
Chapin has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Lexington, they pushed their record up to 20-2 with that victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Chapin will face off against Dutch Fork at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lexington, they will be playing at home against River Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. River Bluff has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
