Section 11 Division IV recap Oct. 9, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Port Jefferson, who took down 563rd ranked Port Jefferson, 21-7.
Babylon moved up to 191 from 229 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 11 Division IV. A 45-17 win over Bayport-Blue Point helped the Panthers improve their standing.
Thanks to the talents of Justin Carbone and Tracey Kennedy Hampton Bays has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Carbone leads the league in passing with 251 yards, while Kennedy has rushed for 381 yards this season. Shoreham-Wading River's Isreal Squires leads the league in receiving yards with 172 on eight catches.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Babylon takes on the Baymen. As it stands, the Panthers are in third, while Hampton Bays is in second.
Mercy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Royals, 21-7. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Monarchs.
