The Estacado Matadors have not lost a match since January 12th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They had just enough and edged Andrews out 2-1. Audree Vasquez had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Estacado.
Estacado is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4-2 record this season. As for Andrews, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4-1.
Estacado will be playing in front of their home fans against Sweetwater at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Estacado's last six matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Andrews, they will head out on the road to square off against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Andrews' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
