The Owings Mills Golden Eagles had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 47-41 victory over Dundalk on Wednesday. The win was just what Owings Mills needed coming off of a 55-35 defeat in their prior match.
Leading Owings Mills to victory were Francois Bangoura and Marcus Nelson. Bangoura scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and four steals, while Nelson dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Bangoura hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.
Owings Mills' win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Dundalk, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Owings Mills will square off against Loch Raven at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Loch Raven's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games. As for Dundalk, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lansdowne at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Lansdowne is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
