Oliver Springs's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals as they made off with a 13-3 win. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.
Carlee Gallaher was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Emmeline Patton and Kenzie Russell did most of the damage at the plate: Patton went 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles, while Russell went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those two doubles gave Patton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Griffith, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Oliver Springs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
The victory got Oliver Springs back to even at 8-8. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-11-1.
