The Argos Dragons won the last time they faced the Trinity Titans, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Argos sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-43 win over Trinity.
Argos was led to victory by Luke Stults and Sean Richard. Stults scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Richard scored 25 points along with seven rebounds. The game was Richard's seventh in a row with at least ten points.
Despite the loss, Trinity still got an impressive performance from Nathan Skendzel, who scored 16 points along with five assists. Skendzel scored a full 37.2% of Trinity's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Josh Heintzelman, who scored seven points.
Argos' victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Trinity, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Argos will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Bethany Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Hopefully Bethany Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday. As for Trinity, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marquette Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Marquette Catholic is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
