District 10 Region 3 AA recap Oct. 30, 2012
Hickory extended the longest winning streak in District 10 Region 3 AA this week by beating Reynolds, 28-7. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Hornets.
Titusville took down Saegertown 52-19 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Kyle Trinch was the best wideout in the league this week as Grove City topped Sharon. Trinch tallied one reception for 75 yards. Harold Price helped Grove City's passing attack out by catching one ball for 29 yards.
Matt Voytik put up the best numbers through the air as Hickory bested the Raiders. He finished with seven completions for 195 yards and four touchdowns. Voytik's favorite target this week was Dionte Pope, who caught two passes for 63 yards.
Price was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 12 carries, he ran for 164 yards as the Eagles defeated the Tigers. Chad Williams also contributed to the rushing game with 98 yards on the ground.
Thanks to the talents of Voytik and DeShawn Coleman William Brest's team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Voytik leads the league in passing with 641 yards, while Coleman has rushed for 1120 yards this season. Greenville's Luke Houpt leads the league in receiving yards with 362 on 22 catches.
The Rockets led District 10 Region 3 AA in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on the Panthers.
