After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Southern Wells, Eastbrook was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Northfield Norsemen  a   13-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four matchups by nine  runs or more  so far this season.

 Carter Daugherty was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Those  11  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and four  RBI.
 In other batting news, Eastbrook let  Will Hodson and  Reid Aupperle run wild. Hodson  went 1-for-3 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Aupperle  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. That's the most  runs  Aupperle has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Blake Jacobs, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs and one  double.
 Eastbrook  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .579. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northfield only posted  an  OBP of  .091.
Eastbrook now  has a winning record of 5-4. As for Northfield, they now  have a losing record of 2-3.
 Coming up, Eastbrook will be playing at home against Delta  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2  runs per game  this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Northfield, they will square off against Eastern at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
