The Seton Catholic Central Knights won the last time they faced the Schroon Lake Wildcats, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Seton Catholic Central sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 26-24 victory over Schroon Lake. The win made it back-to-back wins for Seton Catholic Central.
Seton Catholic Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Trombley, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Trombley has scored at least 25% of Seton Catholic Central's points. Chloe Lawliss was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine rebounds.
Seton Catholic Central pushed their record up to 2-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Schroon Lake, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seton Catholic Central will stay at home for another game and welcome Chazy at 6:30 p.m. on December 20th. Schroon Lake will be home for the holidays to greet Boquet Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Boquet Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Wednesday.
