The Hilltop Lancers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a rough 57-33 loss at the hands of Castle Park. Hilltop was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Hilltop still got an impressive performance from Diego Martinez, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Martinez has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Isaac Meza, who scored two points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Hilltop dropped their record down to 1-20 with that loss, which was their 12th straight at home. As for Castle Park, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hilltop will take on the Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwest SD is coming into the game hot, having won their last 14 games. As for Castle Park, they will head out on the road to take on the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
