Meeker will challenge Olathe on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Meeker have bulldozed their previous three opponents, so Olathe might have their hands full.
Last Friday, Meeker put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They put the hurt on Paonia with a sharp 32-0 victory. Meeker found Meeker's leader in underclassman sophomore Ryan Phelan, who passed for 222 yards and 3 touchdowns. That makes it six straight good games in a row from Phelan.
Meanwhile, after a disappointing zero points in their last matchup, Olathe made sure to put some points up on the board against Hotchkiss. Olathe put a hurting on Hotchkiss to the tune of 42-0. The rankings were on Olathe's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result.
Their wins bumped Meeker to 4-2 and Olathe to 4-3. With both Olathe and Meeker swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
