The Brandon Valley Lynx will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Jefferson Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Brandon Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday.
Brandon Valley kicked off their season on the road and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 65-28 loss at the hands of O'Gorman. Brandon Valley has struggled against O'Gorman recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Brandon Valley had strong showings from Gracie Salter, who scored 3 points along with 7 rebounds, and Amanda Lease, who scored 5 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Jefferson took care of business in their home opener on Saturday (and then some). They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Roosevelt 49-22 at home.
Brandon Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Brandon Valley came up short against Jefferson when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 47-38. Can Brandon Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
