Parkview and Branson are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Parkview Vikings will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Branson Pirates at 7:15 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully Parkview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
Parkview scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They secured a 57-52 W over Neosho. That five points margin sets a new team best for Parkview this season.
Brooklynn Masten was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Parkview's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Hall, who scored 15 points along with six assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, Branson was just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 50-49 to Logan-Rogersville. Branson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Parkview's victory bumped their record up to 1-15. As for Branson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Parkview came up short against Branson in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, falling 50-42. Can Parkview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
